    of the European Commission dealing with technology enhanced professional learning The project focuses on questions of European importance and stresses a better integration of research efforts It initiates and improves cooperation between various actors of academia and industry in the area of technology enhanced learning particularly supporting multinational co operation The GOOD OLD AI research group coordinated by Vladan Devedzic is an associated partner in the project The group s duties include R D activities related to personalized adaptive learning online experiments learning objects metadata and standards PROLEARN virtual competence centre and PROLEARN academy ARIADNE 2003 present The ARIADNE Foundation creates tools and methodologies for producing managing and reusing computer based pedagogical elements and telematics supported training curricula In particular the Foundation has created a network of knowledge pool servers containing a large number of different learning objects and supported by different Web based learning and management tools The GOOD OLD AI research group coordinated by Vladan Devedzic is a member of the Foundation The group maintains a local knowledge pool server and contributes to ARIADNE through its R D activities E LEARNING CENTER FORMATION A short term project within the Partnerships for Tomorrow Program Phase II PTP II funded by the Canadian International Development Agency and administered by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada The main objective was the establishment of a permanent center for eLearning in Belgrade to serve as a dissemination point for online learning and technology based education It included several meetings of all parties interested in institutional collaboration and participation in the project The project was coordinated by experts from the University of British Columbia Vancouver Canada and FON School of Business Administration University of Belgrade Serbia Vladan Devedzic organized the meetings and initiated and coordinated the local efforts related to establishing the e Learning center WEB INTELLIGENCE AND E LEARNING 2005 2007 A 3 year project co funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and industry partners Vladan Devedzic is the project leader and coordinator The project objectives include defining flexible generic software architectures for building systems and adaptive software tools to support E Learning using WI technologies as well as building specific software applications and tools to demonstrate the benefits that E Learning systems can have from using WI technologies It is expected for such applications and tools to be integrated with existing Web based applications developed by the project participants from industry This project is also supposed to enable transfer of results from similar European research projects to which researchers from this project already actively participate RESEARCH COMMUNITY WEB PORTALS 2005 A 1 year project funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia Vladan Devedzic is the project leader and coordinator The project objectives include development and implementation of research community Web portals in the areas of artificial intelligence and e Learning Such research portals are Web portals that provide research groups university boards managers of higher education institutions and other decision makers in science and government
